Accessibility

Last Updated: March 19, 2026

We want Basal to be usable by as many people as possible. That includes building and maintaining a digital experience that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust across our website, patient experience, and key product flows.

Taget Standards: WCAG 2.1 AA
Scope: Website + key user flows

Our Standard

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for our public-facing digital experiences and critical user journeys.

How We Work

We review accessibility during design, development, QA, and ongoing maintenance, including testing of navigation, forms, structure, focus states, and contrast.

Need Help Now?

If you run into a barrier using Basal, contact us and we will work to provide the information, service, or transaction through an accessible alternative.

Our Commitment

Accessibility is part of how we think about quality. We believe people should be able to access information, complete important tasks, and communicate with care teams without unnecessary friction.

We are continuing to improve the accessibility of our digital experiences, including navigation, forms, error handling, text contrast, media, and compatibility with assistive technologies.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We periodically review and update our experiences as our products evolve.

What We’re Working On

  • Improving keyboard navigation and visible focus states across key flows
  • Strengthening form labels, instructions, and error messaging
  • Reviewing color contrast across text, controls, and interface elements
  • Improving semantic structure for headings, landmarks, and screen readers
  • Expanding captioning and accessibility review for media content

Third-Party Content

Some parts of the Basal experience may rely on third-party tools or services that are outside our direct control. We encourage our vendors and partners to support accessible experiences and consider accessibility in our evaluation and implementation decisions.

If a third-party service creates an accessibility barrier, let us know. We will do our best to help provide an alternative path or escalate the issue appropriately.

Accessibility Statement

Basal is committed to providing a website and digital experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience. We aim to follow generally recognized accessibility best practices and to support compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.

Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We regularly review key pages and workflows and continue to improve areas where we identify barriers.

Because accessibility is an ongoing process, some content or features may not yet fully achieve our target standard. We welcome feedback and take accessibility concerns seriously.

If you experience a barrier, contact us.

Include the page or feature you were using, the issue you encountered, and any assistive technology involved. That helps us investigate more quickly.
